New patterns launched within the PROTREAD Bandag range.

PROTREAD by Bandag is a new product brand exclusively available to Bandag dealers and a solution for price- sensitive customers, low-mileage vehicles and successive retread lives. The PROTREAD product range will consist of a selected number of patterns covering all major applications.

As the leading retread franchise system, Bandag now provides you with the possibility to address the demand for short-term price benefits with PROTREAD by Bandag, without having to compromise the high-end position of the premium Bandag brand.

The PROTREAD product line up consists of easy-to-sell, versatile patterns with proven quality. It features old Bandag designs as well as new developments including popular Firestone patterns. Within PROTREAD there are 2 different material price levels.

Being a price focused brand, mileage and cost per kilometer of PROTREAD are not on the same level as Bandag. PROTREAD is a new powerful tool for European Bandag dealers to gain additional market share, especially in times of economic challenges. Correct brand position and information to end users are key for maintaining the premium image and profitability of Bandag.

PRO-DR1 (PRO-Drive Regional 1) The new PROTREAD PRO-DR1 is based on the successful Firestone FD 600 pattern and replaces the B105 and BDE1 of Bandag Value Line. It is developed for the drive axle position in regional applications. The PRO-DR1 offers an excellent compromise between low production cost, adequate wear performance and good driving characteristics in a wide variety of applications. Other features: M+S pattern, speed rating L (up to 120 Km/h), low noise level.
