Worn Tyres
The new precured KONTUR tread - thanks to its base contour - is the first to guarantee that every retreaded tyre has the same balanced profile as a new tyre. KONTUR is so called because the exclusive profiled side wings are perfectly shaped to suit the contours of the tyre shoulders.
Retreads are environmentally friendly. Tyres are basically petrochemical products.
It takes 22 gallons of oil to manufacture one new truck tyre.
Most of the oil is found in the casing, which is reused in the retreading process. As a result,
it takes only 7 gallons of oil to produce a retread.
